This weekend is the Pre-Fourth! Are you ready?
Don't forget to get there early, hydrate, bring a folding chair or blanket, snacks or cash for snacks and put on your comfy shoes!
It's so much fun to live in a small town where we can celebrate in advance and extend the festivities over a week's time.
First Up is Friday Night fun with Live Music courtesy of 'Brand New Relic' from 5-9pm on Railroad Street. Don't forget Pelican's is nearby and you can get their color changing cup for $6 or if you have them already, take them with you and get your refill for only $5:
Next is Saturday!! The big day of fun! This is where you want to make sure you have sunscreen, an umbrella just in case, get there early, hydrate and wear comfortable shoes haha
First up is the Childrens Parade and there's still time that you can decorate something and be in the parade since it's non-motorized:
If you prefer to be a spectator for the parade, see the route above to know where you'd want to line up at to cheer everyone on.
To Enjoy the Festival Day here is all the info that you need:
Get there early and have some fun...then head to lunch (preferably someplace local like Market 50, The Brewery, Jucee or the restaurants along Depot street and rejuvenate yourself and get ready for the evening!
While Long Point is a great place to be at for the Fireworks, it can get busy fast and traffic can back up quickly. and parking spots can be hard to come by if you don't get there early. The Chamber has provided this map below for all the alternate places you can go to see the fireworks.
And lastly!!!
On Sunday! You can round out all the activities for the weekend with a wonderful Community Chorus at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church:
