Calling All Teachers!!
The Lake Hartwell Wildlife Safari is offering free Admission for you, as long as you have your ID, or if you homeschool, bring your Declaration of Intent. Regular Admission is $10 per adult and $5 for kids 2-12. They accept cash and credit. 
We just recently toured this attraction with the Chamber and had a blast! Their Fall hours are Thursday - Sunday 10:00-5:00pm, you can rent a vehicle from them or drive your own! They have over 50 acres of land for their animals to roam. Some of what you will see there are water buffalo, alpacas, zebras and wildebeests along with many others! 
Before or after your travels, you can bring a picnic lunch or snacks and sit at the tables in the shade. This is where they host birthday parties as well.
There is something really neat about driving through their property and remembering you are still in lil ol' Hartwell. Remember, if you are going to feed the ostrich, hold your hand out flat!
