It's Halloween Week!!!

All the TO DO's this week!

It's that week!!! Halloween week is so busy each year and it's always tough navigating a holiday that is during the week! The biggest question asked by anyone new to town is: Is there actual house to house trick or treating on Halloween and where? Now I've only lived here since 2020 but I've always been told that Benson St, starting in town and walking down almost to Quality Foods and back does trick or treating (and in years past the road was closed so it was much safer) but Laurel Glen Subdivision off Athens St is also another place. 

Here is the recap on ALL that is going on each day in the Hartwell/Royston/Bowersville/Lavonia areas with a link for Elberton at the end.  

According to my FB, everyone had a great time at First United Methodist last night for their event! It's usually an awesome one to attend. Or you might have been at Fields of Faith last night on the Football field! 

Now if you missed it though, here's the rest: 

10/27 TONIGHT: 

1) Cross Roads Baptist Church Trunk or Treat 6:30pm: CRBC Pavilion located at 2457 Lou Gurley Rd, Bowersville (across the road from the church) This is a very popular trunk or treat, get there early if you can, they do a phenomenal job with parking. I have older kids that watch the younger kids in the bounce house and playground areas while we wait in the line for the trunk or treat. 

2) Revival in Hart County: The Way Church 1332 Airline Goldmine Rd, Canon: 7pm-10pm Hart county welcomes Pastor Todd Smith and the North Georgia Revival for two evenings of teaching, testimony, and healing ministry. Come ready to encounter the presence of God in the baptismal waters

10/28: 

1) South Hart Fall Festival: 6:00-8pm. South Hart Elementary School. Tickets are $1 each or wristbands are $10 each and include a Hot Dog Plate. Games, Bounce House, Bingo, Cake Walk, Silent Auction. Event open to the public. 

2) Lavonia Gazebo: 5pm-9pm: Come out to the Lavonia Gazeboo! and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Nosferatu - the oldest surviving adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Enjoy dinner downtown and some spooky music before the movie. Maybe learn a new dance move or two! (Please note: although Nosferatu is a silent movie, some images may be disturbing to children

4) Movie Night for Families with Special Needs: Casper the Friendly Ghost: Connections for Special Parents Center 613 Cook St. Royston. 6pm. 

10/29: 

1) The Creek Church: 11am-4pm 3281 Hwy 17, Canon GA - Trunk or Treat, Hayrides, Bonfire, Petting Zoo, Food, Games, Slime and more. 

2) City of Bowersville: 5pm-7pm  1126 West Main St. Bowersville. Trunk or Treat, Food, Fun! 

3) Toccoa Harvest Festival: 10am-4pm: 45th Annual Toccoa Harvest Festival

4) Historic Fall Festival: Sid & Augusta White Memorial Park, Carnesville. We will be hosting a historical fall festival for everyone to enjoy. Entry is free to wants to attend, but donations are appreciated. We will have food and craft vendors, having pie/cake/jam/jelly contests, corn hole tournament, games, three-legged races, cake walk, Halloween costume contests, horse shoes, movie night, pumpkin carving contest and much more! 5) Halloween Party at Southern Hart Brewery: 7-9pm with Big Teach Band

6) Halloween Bash at Boathouse Grill: 7-10pm with Reservoir Dogs 

10/30: 

1) First Baptist Church Hartwell: 5-7pm Trunk or Treat 

2) Double Branches Baptist Church: 5-7pm  287 Double Branches Church Rd, Canon: Trunk or Treat, Food, Games, Prizes and More. 

3) Toccoa Harvest Festival: 10am-4pm: 45th Annual Toccoa Harvest Festival

4) Fall Festival- Bowman Church of God 6-8pm  Join us for an evening of fun! We will have Trunk or Treat, games, pictures and a refreshment. Hope to see you there!

5) Oak Bower Baptist Church: Trunk-or-Treat! Hotdogs will be served 5-6 and trunk-or-treat will be 6-8

6) Fall Carnival: Encounter Church 630 Cook St 4-6pm 

10/31: 

1) Trick or Treat at the Gazebo in Lavonia 3pm-6pm: Spooktacular afternoon filled with music, fun, and of course, candy! Flash the DJ will be spinning some of your favorite creepy tunes and Mr. Twister will be making his world-famous balloon animals. This year we are bringing back the costume contest!

2) Mayors Monster Mash: Hartwell Railroad Depot 4pm-6pm

3) Halloween Carnival (Costume contest and games) 4pm-6pm: Hart County Community Theatre: 83 Depot St Hartwell 

4) Live Music: Derelict Depot: at Railroad Street Park 6-9pm 

4) City of Toccoa: 10am Costume Parade: The annual Costume Parade will begin at 10:00 on Oct. with line up at 9:30 starting at the corner of Doyle St and Alexander St.
